Rapid Results Counselling Vs Regular Counselling
Hi, I just wanted to take a minute to consider the difference between rapid results counselling (RR) and regular counselling. You see, I used to be pretty unsure about this stuff myself. That is, until I started sitting down and actually talking with counsellors about it. The details in this article are simple, but worth remembering.
Now, I want to begin by saying that counselling is not just for EXTREMELY special cases, like some people imagine. Counselling is something that can be healthy for just about anyone who is mentally, spiritually, and/or emotionally hurt. Counselling is sitting down with someone who knows what they are doing and what they are talking about in order to address the problems that are causing your pain. That's simple, right? And, it's not something to be afraid of.
Now, let's get to counselling versus RR counselling. I'm not sure if you have heard this, but some people will tell you that you should go to a counsellor consistently, no matter what's going on in your life. This is the same sort of thing you might hear from a chiropractor. Anyway, with a counsellor although it may have some benefits to go see them often, it shouldn't be necessary.
That is where RR therapy or counselling comes in. A rapid results therapist works their hardest to get you results. They don't try to string you on forever, in order to keep collecting a paycheck. Yes, it is a cumbersome business model, but it's better (for us, non-counsellors). If you're worried that the counsellor won't actually be honest with you, then just try it out. Rapid results counselling is really a lot different than regular counselling.
For example, a rapid results therapist MUST be highly trained in order to figure out where to go practically right away. A less trained counsellor will need more time to figure out what needs help and then how to help it.
Regular counsellors are generally not only less well-trained, but less effective. This is inherent in the distinction in terms. What I mean by that is that counsellors are inherently less effective if they are not focusing on rapid results. You see, whether or not you are grieving, broken-hearted, or lost you don't want to stay in that emotional state for long. Hence, rapid results are ALWAYS better.
Now, before we finish, I just want to remind you to send referrals to your rapid results therapist. Like I said I am not a rapid results therapist myself, but I do believe in them. Their honesty and integrity depend on our generosity.
