Take the Disturbing Emotions Out of Disturbing Events - Rapid Resolution Therapy Clears it All
Events that have happened in the past are no longer happening. And unlike taxes, we no longer need to continue paying for them.
Remember when you were in 6th grade or 7th grade, and you took a test that you weren't prepared for? Remember how you felt nervous about it? Are you still nervous now about that test you took then? No, you're not. Maybe the idea of taking tests makes you nervous, or maybe you've had nightmares about childhood days, but you're no longer nervous about a specific test that you took 20 or 30 or 40 years ago.
Want to know why?
Because it's no longer happening. The math test you took in 6th grade is no longer a math test. You may still have the piece of paper with all the questions and answers, all the calculations you wrote on the sides of the paper. But it's no longer a test. Now it's just a piece of paper with some writing of numbers and formulas.
And in that same way the taunting by other children that occurred when little Johnny was a kid, or the witnessing of the beating that Mary saw when she was growing up, is no longer happening. So why do Johnny and Mary still get scared and anxious when they see or experience things that remind them of it?
Logically and consciously most people know that an event which was disturbing when it happened, is no longer happening. Let's say your neighbor comes to your house, sits in your living room and tells you how she was at a convenience store the night before, and a guy wearing a dark green ski mask over his head came in with a gun and ordered her to hand over all her money. She's shaking and crying as she's telling you this, so you put your arm around her and tell her she's okay now, that she's safe now, that the guy is not here, etc. Why would you keep telling her these things? She's not stupid. She knows that it's no longer happening. But you tell her because you know that she doesn't really know it.
Wouldn't it be great if all disturbing events from our pasts were wiped clean of their troubling meaning? That's one of the benefits of Rapid Resolution Therapy. Once people are no longer disturbed by something that happened to them, regardless of how long they've been disturbed by it, a feeling of peace and excitement replaces feelings of depression or anxiety, guilt or shame.
